Ekonids Marketing is formed by an all-Filipino group of professionals directly and indirectly involved in food production and / or distribution of daily home consumables. Down the line their interests intersect with each other. It was a common observation that with all the activities involved in food production or its distribution : wastes are generated which, if not managed properly becomes poten

tial hazards to the environment and to all other forms of life as well, including humans. Initially, the group decided to search for earth-friendly technologies, hence the idea of PROBIOTICS and later BIOLOGICAL ODOR ELIMINATION TECHNIQUE (BOET) or the use of live strains of beneficial microorganisms that has the power to eliminate offensive odors in poultry and livestock production. After further reserach, the group engaged in solid waste management. This includes biological deodorization of solid wastes and processing of biodegradables into organic fertilizers. At present, with Ekonids' 16th year in the industry, the group is looking at BIOREMEDIATION of polluted ponds and waterways.
