By: Sheena N. Callao
ROSARIO, AGUSAN DEL SUR — Representatives from the Environmental Management Bureau Regional Office XIII (EMB ROXIII), Mr. Junrey A. Lacorte, and Engr. Kenneth Y. Armaco Jr. conducted a stack emission observation for the pollution control facilities of Mindanao Mineral Processing and Refining Corporation on May 7, 2026.
The activity verifies that emissions from operational stacks comply with the standards set by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) under the Philippine Clean Air Act. Through this effort, EMB ROXIII strengthens its monitoring and enforcement initiatives to protect air quality and safeguard public health and the environment.
AERONICS Inc., a DENR-accredited provider, performed emission testing using calibrated instruments to assess key air quality parameters.
Mindanao Mineral Processing and Refining Corporation (MMPRC) reaffirms its commitment to environmental programs and regulatory compliance—not only to safeguard employees, but also to ensure clean air for surrounding communities. These efforts demonstrate shared responsibility for sustainable operations and public health.
“Clean air is not just a standard—it is a commitment to ensuring a safer workplace and a healthier future.”
