(NABI) is a local company engaged in the manufacture and sale of hog feeds. Its main plant and office is on a 5,000 sqm lot owned by the Company in Barangay San Ignacio, Rosario, Batangas. Product range includes; Hog Pre-starter, Hog Starter, Hog Grower, Hog Finisher, Hog Breeder and Hog Lactating. It has a total of 28 employees: 11 at the plant, 9 in the field and 8 in the office. The plant, oper
ating on an 8-hour shift, can produce 600 50kg bags of feeds a day. At present monthly volume is at 18,000 bags but there is still a lot of room for expansion. HOG RAISING & DISPOSAL PROGRAM - NABI is also into hog disposal as it handles the selling of grown fatteners from its Paiwi program. At present the Company sells as much as 3,500 hogs per month plus an additional quantity of around 1,000 heads from its allied farms. PAIWI is a system where an investor provides all the necessary capital in raising hog fatteners while a contract grower, called the Recipient, provides the facility, including utilities, and labor. Net proceeds from the sale of hogs (total proceeds less total cost) is then divided equally between the investor and the recipient.
