Guimaras Electric Cooperative (GUIMELCO) participated in the celebration of the 34th Provincehood Anniversary of Guimaras and the 2026 Manggahan Festival held on May 22, 2026, in San Miguel, Jordan, Guimaras.
GUIMELCO joined the parade together with Provincial Government Offices, Local Government Units (LGUs), National Government Agencies (NGAs), Non-Government Organizations (NGOs), and various participating institutions and organizations.
The annual celebration serves as a showcase of Guimarasโ rich history, vibrant culture, and world-renowned mango industry while commemorating the provinceโs journey and achievements as an independent province.
The GUIMELCO delegation was led by General Manager Shirley S. Laurente and Board of Directors headed by Chairperson Gina G. Montaรฑo. Through its active participation, the cooperative continues to demonstrate its commitment to community engagement and support for initiatives that contribute to the development and progress of the province.
This year, GUIMELCO also takes pride in being one of the sponsors of the 2026 Manggahan Festival, further strengthening its support for local initiatives that encourage collaboration, preserve cultural heritage, and promote community development.
The continued partnership between the Provincial Government and GUIMELCO reflects a shared commitment to programs and activities that foster growth and progress in the Province of Guimaras.
