π‘ππͺπ¦ | CSU-SM honors outstanding students during Pammadayaw 2026
Cagayan State University - Sanchez Mira Campus (CSU-SM) recognized outstanding students during the Pammadayaw 2026 held on May 11, 2026, at the campusβ new gymnasium.
The annual event honored students for academic excellence, leadership, research, journalism, athletics, culture and arts, and service contributions to the university.
In his message, Campus Executive Officer Dr. Rodel Francisco T. Alegado emphasized that excellence is achieved through perseverance, sacrifice, and determination.
βThe Pammadayaw is a recognition of excellence, but excellence is never born overnight. It is shaped by sleepless nights, countless sacrifices, and unwavering determination,β Alegado said.
He also acknowledged the support system behind every student achievement, including parents, teachers, and the community.
Leading the awardees was Rodge Andru P. Viloria, a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology student from the College of Information and Computing Sciences (CICS), who graduated Cum Laude and received the Highest Scholastic Standing among graduating students.
Viloria is among the 17 Latin honor graduates who will be formally recognized during the universityβs 48th Academic Convocation on May 13, 2026.
Fifteen other students were recognized as Outstanding Campus Awardees during the ceremony. Meljy V. Mamolin and Raphael R. Manglallan received the Outstanding Service Award. Franklin B. Ganiban and Princess P. Ganal were named as Outstanding Campus ROTC Cadets. Irish Graciella T. Valdez and Hyun Sun S. Vergara were honored as Outstanding Campus Student Athletes.
For culture and arts, Rommel B. Jacinto, Rizelle Olive B. Tapec, NiΓ±o G. Pingao, and Charlo C. Calitina received the Outstanding Campus Culture and Arts Award. In journalism, Rommel B. Jacinto, Victor Moises B. Arda, and Koreena Claudee Gel O. Vidad were recognized as Outstanding Campus Student Journalists. Alex A. Sarmiento Jr. was awarded Most Outstanding Campus Student Leader.
Meanwhile, Charlo C. Calitina was also recognized as Outstanding Student Researcher in Experimental Research, Leonard T. Domingo in Technological Research, and Erica Mae T. Pedro in Social Research.
During the ceremony, the campus also conferred Academic Distinction honors on 22 graduating students and With Merit Awards on 36.
Deans from the campusβ eight colleges presented certificates to students who qualified for the Deanβs List for the academic year. The Graduate School also recognized graduates for their academic achievements.
In his acknowledgment message, Atty. Jan Leandro Verzon encouraged the awardees to continue striving for excellence with humility, integrity, and determination.
The Pammadayaw 2026 concluded with a message encouraging students to view every achievement as both a milestone and a motivation for greater aspirations.
