Rain chains are an alternative drainage solution that replaces traditional downspouts, guiding rainwater from the roof to the ground in a natural and aesthetically pleasing manner. This 1950 rural cabin in Washington state combines rustic stonework with a Modernist sensibility. Architect Alan Liddle designed and hand-built this cabin for himself, starting while he was a student at the University of Washington.
