A Meaningful Step Toward a Sustainable Talim Island
This meeting with Hon. Bernardo P. “Jun” San Juan Jr., Mayor of Cardona, Rizal, and Engr. Roch Jerome L. Capistrano, Municipal Engineer, represents an important milestone in our continuing commitment to the Talim Island Wind Power Project (TIWPP).
With a planned capacity of 217.35 MW, the project, invested by VENA Energy and being undertaken with SUMEC Philippines as Engineering, Procurement and Contractor, represents not only a major renewable-energy investment but also an opportunity to create meaningful economic benefits for the communities of Cardona and Binangonan.
The commencement of construction shall be in October 2026, the project is expected to generate employment opportunities during the construction phase and contribute to long-term employment and economic activity throughout its planned 25-year operational period, subject to the applicable project agreements and regulatory approvals.
More importantly, renewable energy gives us an opportunity to demonstrate that development and environmental stewardship can move together. The natural power of the wind can be transformed into useful energy while supporting the growth, accessibility, tourism potential, and livelihood opportunities of Talim Island.
As engineers, we do not simply build infrastructure. We build systems that connect people, technology, nature, and opportunity.
Our commitment is to deliver this project with engineering integrity, safety, environmental responsibility, technical excellence, and respect for the communities that will ultimately benefit from it.
The wind is a natural resource. Engineering is the bridge that transforms that resource into sustainable progress.
Talim Island — Powered by Nature. Driven by Engineering. Built for the Community.
