The Metraflex® Fireloop® seismic expansion joint for fire sprinkler systems is an extremely flexible joint accommodating movement in all directions, providing excellent seismic protection. It meets NFPA 13 guidelines and is UL listed and FM Approved.

Available from the Metraflex Fire Protection Division, the leader in seismic pipe protection, the Fireloop® expansion joint is capable of movement in all directions with sizes able to accommodate movements up to ±24 inches. It should be installed anywhere building or pipe movement is expected, including seismic, thermal growth and building settlement.

In seismic applications, the FireLoop® is positioned anywhere movement is expected, such as the building’s seismic joint. When the loop is installed vertically or horizontally, the 180-degree return bend of the loop requires just one hanger support to allow the entire FireLoop® expansion joint to move freely.

The Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board (PCAB) has noted with concern the reports and discussions regarding alleged irregularities in the licensing and accreditation of contractors.

We wish to assure the public and our stakeholders that the integrity of the PCAB licensing system remains our foremost priority. 𝐏𝐂𝐀𝐁 𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐞. The Board has not authorized any individual, group, or third-party consultant to act on its behalf or to guarantee contractor accreditation in exchange for money.

Unfortunately, we are aware of the challenges presented by the existence of certain individuals and entities, particularly on social media, misrepresenting themselves as PCAB personnel or offering “shortcuts” for a fee. PCAB has been proactive in addressing this issue—conducting investigations, reporting fake social media accounts, and coordinating with the proper authorities to protect the public and the industry.

We encourage contractors and the public to remain vigilant and to deal only through PCAB’s official channels (website/portal). Any suspicious offers or misrepresentations should be reported to the Board so that appropriate action may be taken.

Guided by transparency and accountability, PCAB reaffirms its commitment to uphold the highest standards in contractor licensing in the Philippines, and will fully cooperate with any investigation and provide records available for verification in the interest of full transparency and public trust.

METRAFLEX FIRESTRAIT FLEXIBLE CONNECTOR

FireStrait compensates for pipe offset and lateral movement.
The new FireStrait by Metraflex accommodates pipe offsets and lateral movement anywhere along your fire sprinkler piping system. Accomodate pipe offsets at odd angles and avoid labor costs associated with cutting fittings at difficult or small angles. Offsets ranging from 0 to 180 degrees are easily managed with the FireStrait flexible connector.

Utilize the same flexible technology as our Fireloop seismic expansion joint to absorb movements ranging from 1/8” offset from minor vibrations all the way up to +/-60” offset due to large mechanical movements such as mobile racking and floating dock connections.

Available in grooved and flanged, and threaded end-fittings, FireStrait connectors come in sizes ½” through 12” with galvanized end-fittings available upon request.

METRAFLEX 711 PLUS RUBBER EXPANSION JOINTS

The 711 Plus expansion joint, formerly 711FRP, was developed to solve a problem unique to most non-metallic pipe: brittle components and large coefficients of expansion. The 711 Plus has integral gusset plates built into the backing ring. The integral gusset plates eliminate the problem of cracks on the plastic flanges due to the bending forces from standard gusset plates. Just like the 711, the 711Plus also features a full-face built-in rubber face that makes it ideal for use in plastic piping applications. The 711 can handle more movement than a Metrasphere and has a lower spring rate than the 100HT.

The 711 Plus is most commonly used as a pump or equipment connector. It can also be used as an expansion joint if EJMA guidelines are followed. Control rods are optional but recommended.
