8 plants are on forced outage on August 2026, 1 plant since July, 3 plants since June, 7 plants since May, 1 plant since March, 3 plants since 2025, 2 plants since 2024, 2 plants since 2023, and 1 plant since 2021, while 13 plants are running on derated capacities, for a total of 821.5MW unavailable to the grid.

Factor/s that contributed to the YELLOW Alert declaration in the Visayas grid:

1. Unavailability of Visayas' large coal plants TVI 1 and TVI 2
2. Limited power import from Mindanao (due to maintenance outage of GNPK 2)

A yellow alert is issued when the operating margin is insufficient to meet the transmission grid’s contingency requirement.

𝗜𝗟𝗘𝗖𝗢 𝗜 𝗦𝗖𝗔𝗗𝗔 𝗦𝗬𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗠𝗦: 𝟭𝟬𝟬% 𝗙𝗨𝗟𝗟𝗬 𝗢𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗜𝗡 𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗦𝗨𝗕𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦

Bilang kabahin sang padayon nga pag-modernize sang aton distribution system, ang Iloilo Electric Cooperative, Inc. (ILECO I) nagpatuman sang Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) System—isa ka importante nga teknolohiya nga nagabulig sa mas madasig, mas husto, kag mas episyente nga pagmonitor sang aton electrical distribution system.

Pinaagi sa SCADA, mas madasig nga makita kag ma-monitor ang kondisyon sang aton mga substation kag electrical facilities sa real time. Nagahatag ini sang mas maayo nga visibility sa sistema kag nagabulig sa aton technical team nga mas madasig mahibal-an okun madetect ang mga problema kag makaresponde sa mga power interruption kag iban pa nga system issues.

Isa sa mga daku nga tikang sini amo ang pagka-operational sang SCADA sa 10 ka substations sang ILECO I nga gin pangunahan kang Technical Services Department (TSD), nga nagapakita sang aton padayon nga pag-uswag padulong sa mas moderno kag mas intelihente nga power distribution system.

Ini nga teknolohiya indi lamang parte sang modernisasyon. Ini isa ka importante nga tikang sang ILECO I padulong sa mas maalam, mas episyente, kag mas masaligan nga power distribution system. Pinaagi sa ikasarang, dedikasyon, kag inobasyon sang aton kooperatiba, padayon naton nga ginagamit ang teknolohiya agud mapauswag ang aton operasyon kag mapataas pa gid ang kalidad sang serbisyo para sa tanan naton nga Miyembro-Konsumidor-Tag-iya (MCOs).
