𝗕𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻𝗶 ang bawat Pilipinong naninindigan para sa tama kahit mas madaling manahimik.

Ang kalayaang tinatamasa natin ngayon ay hindi lamang bunga ng sakripisyo ng mga bayani noon. Ito ay patuloy na nabubuhay sa mga ordinaryong Pilipinong lumalaban araw-araw para sa kanilang pamilya, komunidad, at bayan.

Sa panahong maraming dahilan upang mawalan ng pag-asa, ang pagiging bayani ay hindi nasusukat sa pag-aalay ng buhay. Minsan, ito ay nasusukat sa pagpili na magpatuloy, tumulong, manindigan, at maniwala na may mas mabuting bukas na naghihintay.

Ngayong 𝗔𝗿𝗮𝘄 𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗮𝗻, alalahanin natin: ang bansa ay hindi lamang binuo ng mga bayani ng nakaraan.

Ito ay patuloy na binubuo ng mga bayani ng kasalukuyan.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | The Mark of Succession: ACES Holds Turnover Ceremony

As part of their annual tradition before the end of the academic year, the Association of Civil Engineering Students (ACES) and the USL DOST Scholars’ Association (UDSA) held a Joint Turnover Ceremony on June 11, 2026, at N6, University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao.

The ceremony marked the official turnover of responsibilities from the outgoing officers to the newly elected officers who will lead their respective organizations for the upcoming academic year.

One of the highlights of the program was the speech of outgoing ACES President Kenneth Jao, who looked back on the experiences, challenges, and accomplishments of the organization during his term. ACES advisers Engr. Renz Fontanilla and Engr. Jerome Adduru also shared stories from their own leadership journeys, leaving the incoming officers with lessons and encouragement as they prepare to take on their new roles.

The program concluded with a lunch and socialization activity, giving the officers of both organizations an opportunity to interact, build connections, and celebrate the start of a new chapter in student leadership.

The Association of Civil Engineering Students (ACES) would like to thank outgoing UDSA President Roden Baloca, along with the officers of the USL DOST Scholars’ Association (UDSA), for their participation and support in the successful conduct of the ceremony.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | Nakilahok ang mga ACES Youth Leaders sa Kalayaan Fest Expo 2026

Nakibahagi ang mga kinatawang opisyal ng Association of Civil Engineering Students (ACES) sa Kalayaan Fest Expo 2026 na inorganisa ng JCI Tuguegarao Ybanag at ginanap sa SM City Tuguegarao noong Hunyo 10.

Pinagtipon ng programa ang mga student leaders mula sa iba’t ibang institusyon at organisasyon upang talakayin ang nasyonalismo, pamumuno, at ang mahalagang papel ng kabataan sa paghubog ng lipunan. Tampok sa pagtitipon ang talakayan ni Mr. Joel Amilhasan Paguirigan Jr. ng UP Diliman, na nagbigay ng makabagong pananaw hinggil sa kasarinlang Pilipino at sa impluwensya ng makabagong kultura at teknolohiya sa kamalayan ng kabataan.

Sa pamamagitan ng mga makabuluhang diskusyon tungkol sa kalayaan, kasarinlan, at pananagutang sibiko, nakakuha ang mga kinatawan ng ACES ng mahahalagang kaalaman na higit pang nagpatibay sa kanilang papel bilang mga hinaharap na inhinyero at responsableng mamamayan.

Patuloy na nagsisilbing daan ang ACES sa pagbibigay ng mga oportunidad na humuhubog sa kakayahan ng mga opisyal at kasapi nito sa larangan ng pamumuno, kamalayang panlipunan, at aktibong pakikilahok sa mga gawaing may positibong ambag sa komunidad at bansa.

LET US PRAY FOR MINDANAO 🙏

Sa mga panahong yumayanig ang lupa at tila humihinto ang mundo sa loob ng ilang sandali, nawa’y manatili ang ating pagkakaisa, malasakit, at pag-asa sa isa’t isa.

Isang magnitude 7.8 na lindol ang tumama malapit sa General Santos City at naramdaman sa iba’t ibang bahagi ng Mindanao.

Sa gitna ng pagsubok na ito, sama-sama tayong dumalangin:

Panginoon, sa panahong ito ng pangamba at pagyanig, ilapit Mo po ang Iyong kamay sa lahat ng mga naapektuhan. Bigyan Mo po sila ng lakas upang malampasan ang takot, at ng tibay ng loob upang magpatuloy sa kabila ng nangyari.

Protektahan Mo po ang bawat pamilya, lalo na ang mga nawalan ng tirahan, nasaktan, at hanggang ngayon ay nasa gitna ng panganib. Bigyan Mo po sila ng ligtas na lugar, sapat na tulong, at mga taong magmamalasakit sa kanila.

Gabayan Mo po ang mga rescuers, medical teams, at lahat ng responders na patuloy na nagtatrabaho para magligtas at magbigay ng tulong. Bigyan Mo sila ng kaligtasan, karunungan, at lakas sa kanilang tungkulin.

Panginoon, sa gitna ng takot at pagkalito, iparamdam Mo po ang Iyong kapayapaan sa bawat puso. Palitan Mo ang pangamba ng pag-asa, ang lungkot ng pag-aliw, at ang pagod ng bagong lakas.

Nawa’y mabilis ang pagbangon ng Mindanao, at manatili tayong magkakapit-bisig sa panahon ng sakuna. Amen. 🙏

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | A monumental milestone is officially set in stone. Today, 226 Civil Engineering students stepped out of the classroom and directly into their legacy during the USLT-ACES 4th Vesting, Hard Hatting, and Pinning Ceremony held on June 3 at the solemn arches of the Good Shepherd Chapel.

The formal assembly commenced with inspiring opening remarks from Engr. Victor Villaluz, DEM, SACE Dean, is laying down the foundational challenge for the next generation of builders. A powerful, motivating message was then delivered by Dr. Luisa Aquino, Vice President for Academics, followed by a keynote address from our Guest Speaker, Engr. Jude Mark Aerone Acosta, RCE, RMP, spoke on the reality and resilience required in the engineering landscape.

Unpacking the deep significance of the event, Engr. Renz Cyrill Fontanilla, USLT-ACES Adviser, delivered an insightful discourse on the Emblematic Essence of Hard Hats, Pins, and Vests, reminding everyone that these are not mere gear, but symbols of accountability, safety, and leadership.

The highlight of the day followed as Dr. Aquino, Engr. Villaluz, and Engr. Augusto D. Frace officially led Vesting, Hard Hatting, and Pinning for the 226 future engineers. Side-by-side with their proud parents, guardians, and mentors, our students accepted these honors, signaling their definitive transition from academic theory to hands-on field training.

Stepping into their new roles, Jericho Dela Cruz, USLT-ACES President, passionately administered the Oath of Service Commitment, charging his peers to build with integrity. The momentous event drew to a successful close with a parting charge and closing remarks from Engr. Frace.

The blueprints are now brought to life. This is where monuments begin. Congratulations to our newly vested and pinned future Civil Engineers!
