Behind every recognition is a story beyond the certificate-late nights, demanding deadlines, difficult lessons, and countless moments of choosing to keep going.

Today, USLT-ACES proudly recognizes our awardees whose dedication and perseverance brought them to this moment. Their names may be written on certificates, but their achievements were written long before that: in every sacrifice, every setback, every second attempt, and every decision to keep going.

To our awardees, may this recognition remind you that every difficult day was worth it. You didn’t just earn an award; you earned the right to be proud of how far you’ve come.

Sa araw na ito, inaalala natin ang mga Pilipinong nagsakripisyo para sa kalayaan, dangal, at kinabukasan ng ating bayan. Pinili nilang tumindig sa panahon ng takot, lumaban sa panahon ng pang-aapi, at maniwala sa isang Pilipinas na hindi pa nila nakikita ngunit ipinaglaban nila para sa atin.

Sa paggunita sa Pambansang Araw ng mga Bayani, alalahanin natin na ang bayan ay Pilipinong patuloy na nangangarap, nagsisikap, at naglilingkod sa kasalukuyan.

| 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗨𝗽 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗛𝗶𝗺.

In today's Gospel, 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘄 𝟭𝟲:𝟮𝟭-𝟮𝟳, Jesus reminds His disciples that following Him is not always the easiest path. He calls us to deny ourselves, take up our crosses, and follow Him. It is a reminder that faith is not about having a life without struggles, but about choosing to keep going and trusting God even when the road gets difficult.

As we reflect on today’s Gospel, one of our fellow students shares how this message speaks to their journey of faith and trust in God.

| 𝗨𝗦𝗟𝗧 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗽𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝗻𝘀 𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗥𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿-𝗨𝗽 𝗶𝗻 𝗞𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗮𝗻 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁

Adrian Pagadduan, Jiashene Malenab, Lance Engran Espita and Reinier Binalay, Civil Engineering students of the University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao and members of the USLT Good Shepherd Chorale, earned the First Runner-Up award during Kabataan Night, held on August 29 at SM City Tuguegarao.

The four CE students were part of the USLT College Chorale that represented the university in the event, joining fellow chorale members in showcasing their vocal talents and dedication on stage.

Kabataan Night brought together young performers and student representatives for an evening of performances and activities, providing an avenue for students to showcase their talents and represent their respective institutions.

USLT-ACES congratulates Pagadduan, Malenab, Espita, and Binalay, together with the USLT College Chorale, for their achievement and for proudly representing the Civil Engineering community and the university.

| 𝗔𝘀𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗲𝘀

The second day of ASCENSUS took place on August 29, 2026, as our first-year Civil Engineering students continued with the readiness assessment.

With another set of questions to answer, students had the chance to test their knowledge, recall the concepts they have learned, and identify areas they can work on as they continue adjusting to the demands of Civil Engineering.

Day 2 is another step in getting our future engineers ready for what lies ahead.
