Phase 1 of the Rawalpindi Ring Road is nearing completion, with over 75% of construction finalized. The RDA has now launched the feasibility study for Phase II, partnering with NESPAK and ACE Pvt Ltd.

The new segment will reconnect Thalian to Sangjani and link the corridor with CPEC and G.T. Road. An economic zone is also planned to boost development along the route.

The Authority ( ) has released the first official details of the upcoming Glass Train, an eco-friendly electric designed to ease travel between and Murree hill station.

The project aims to offer a scenic, fast, and environmentally friendly alternative to road travel. According to PMA, the train will run from in Islamabad to a station near the Murree bus stop, with the full journey taking around 40 minutes.

The system will have four stations along the route: Lake View Park, Park, Ghora Gali, and the final stop near the Murree bus stand. PMA has announced two fare categories:

Standard: Rs. 500
Premium: Rs. 1,000
