Job Title: Accounts Officer
Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Officer to join our finance team. As an Accounts Officer, you will be responsible for accurate and timely financial transactions, maintaining records, and supporting the finance department.
Responsibilities:
Handle day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
Process invoices, payments, receipts, and other financial transactions accurately.
Prepare and review financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Assist in budgeting, financial forecasts, and variance analysis reports.
Conduct regular reconciliations of financial accounts.
Manage vendor relationships, ensuring timely payments and resolving billing discrepancies.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather financial information and support decision-making.
Assist in the preparation and submission of financial reports to regulatory authorities.
Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and company policies.
Support in audit preparations and liaise with auditors.
Work in an ERP environment to utilize accounting software effectively.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Partial qualification in ACCA preferred.
Experience as an Accounts Officer or in a similar role, preferably in import-export.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial regulations.
Experience with ERP systems and proficiency in accounting software.
Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
Excellent numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
High level of integrity and professionalism.
