It comprises of about 50 members and with a market share of about 70% in the country. It started work in 2019 but formally it got registered with the Directorate of Trade Organization in 2020. During the same year it was registered with SECP as well as became member of the FPCCI. PALSP’s mandate is to work for the betterment of the long steel sector. ferent ministries of the Govt/ FBR on policy related matters, taxation regulatory matters as well as futuristic aspects & role of the local Long Steel Industry. (long steel industry makes construction steel)
The Association is relentlessly working for making the steel sector competitive, to promote quality steel in the country, to promote fair competition in the country, to promote fair taxation system in the country. And above all to make Pakistan as a steel exporting country by working closely with the Govt. Above all, engaging the Govt, and helping the Govt in different matters like augmenting its revenues. In a short span of 2 years or so, PALSP has emerged as the leading representative body and the most powerful & credible voice of the long steel sector of Pakistan. At different times especially, English newspapers as well as international newspaper have been publishing reports about the different issues of the steel sector being pursued by PALSP. Also, we have been present in the print media through ads as well, from time to time. Some of the ideals that define PALSP: Integrity, Producing World-class Steel, Belief in Ethical Business Practices, Transparency in Business, Dynamism, Strong Belief in serving Pakistan; Contributing to the economy of Pakistan through fair business practices, Fairness, Taking Pride in what we are doing. Above all, we believe in augmenting revenues of the Nation’s exchequer, instead of evading it.
