MPCL has won the Corporate Excellence Award (in Oil & Gas Sector) for the Best Management Practices. The Award was conferred at 37th Corporate Excellence Awards Ceremony arranged by the Management Association of Pakistan (MAP) on October 03, 2022 in Karachi.
The Corporate Excellence Award was instituted by MAP in 1982 with the aim to recognize and honour companies showing outstanding performance and demonstrating progressive and enlightened management practices. The evaluation for the Awards comprises four phases i.e. (i) shortlisting on the basis of dividend pay-outs during the last three years (ii) detailed financial assessment (iii) review of management practices, and (iv) management interviews. The evaluation is carried out and the results are compiled by a neutral third-party consultant hired by MAP.
MPCL first qualified for the Awards in 2016-17 (on the basis of dividend pay-out) and since then has emerged as a winner in the Oil & Gas Sector every year.
