The Wudongde Hydropower Station, which was recognized as the 2022 FIDIC Highly Commended Project, is the only award-winning project in the field of energy and electricity this year. This is the thinnest 300-meter high arch dam in the world, and the world’s first super-high arch dam poured with low-heat cement concrete throughout its entire body.👍

With 12 hydraulic generators, the 10.2-GW Wudongde Hydropower Station can generate 38.91 billion kWh of electricity annually. As an important part of China’s West-to-East Power Transmission Initiative, the project will ease the shortage of power supply in the Greater Bay Area, optimize the energy mix, and promote high-quality social and economic development.🥳

Three Gorges project ship lift, the world’s largest of its kind, was awarded the FIDIC Merit Award in 2019. It’s designed to help small and medium-sized ships cross the dam with the capacity capable of elevating ships up to 3,000 tonnes across a vertical distance of 113 meters from the reservoir to the river below. 🥰

It used to take ships about three to four hours to pass the dam via the ship lock. The ship lift will cut this time to about 40 minutes to one hour, greatly improving transportation efficiency.🥳

To date, it has carried out more than 19,500 safe operations and transported about 19,700 ships, 536,900 passengers, and over 10 million tonnes of cargo.👍👍

CTG Brasil takes to Ilha Solteira (SP) the Project "Trail – The Art that Transforms."

The project was inaugurated during an exhibition titled Águas de Araquém(Araquém Waters in English) on June 11th by photographer Araquém Alcântara. Curated by researcher Rubens Fernandes Junior, the project brings together photographs📸 that highlight water and its relationship with local people, in a representation of cultural and social diversity, as well as the environment. There will be four exhibitions between June and December this year. The project will feature lectures and cultural and educational workshops, covering various topics, from sustainability to citizenship and science, among others.

The Changlongshan pumped storage power station, the largest pumped storage hydropower facility in East China in terms of installed capacity, was put into full operation on June 30.

The station, built and operated by CTG, has 6 pumped storage power units designed and installed in the plant, with a total rate capacity of 2100 mW that can generate nearly 2.5 billion kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity each year during peak hours.

Located in East China's Zhejiang, Anji, the station is responsible for peak load regulation, valley filling, frequency regulation, phase modulation, power storage, and emergency use for Zhejiang, and will offer flexible dispatching capacity for the East China Grid.
