5 questions to ask your MRO vendor before issuing the PO!
1- Are you an authorized distributor for this brand in Pakistan? (If they can't answer immediately, red flag).
2- Can you provide a certificate of conformance or traceability document? (Grey market vendors never have these).
3- Is this physical stock or will you import after PO? (Most vendors in Pakistan quote first, figure out stock later).
4- What's your return policy if the spec is wrong? (A serious vendor has an answer. A chancer goes quiet).
5- Have you supplied this item to plants in our industry before? (References matter in MRO parts that work in FMCG may not suit Oil & Gas).
Most vendors fail question 2.
Ask anyway.
Your plant's uptime depends on it.
