ution from spinning to high quality garments. Our Spinning division produces 36-40 million lbs of yarn per year, all of which is consumed by our Fabric division. AFGI has the capacity to produce 36 million meters of denim fabric per year. About 50% of the fabric produced is used in-house and the rest is exported to the international market. The Garment facility, equipped with a state of the art in-house laundry, manufactures 12 million garments per year. At AFGI, we believe that Denim is our Culture. The company first started operations in 1949 with a small retail shop founded by an enterprising man. He was driven by his dream to one day own textile mills. With time and relentless hard work the business acquired a valuable reputation. Airline crews and foreigners swarmed the markets for ethnic handicraft and quality textiles. Business was flourishing and the first export order was booked. With a vision to grow, the company expanded from a retail shop to establishing multiple garment factories. As the 90s rolled in, expansion was explosive and the group used this opportunity to narrow their focus on denim fabrics and garments and set up specialized denim mills. In 2006, the partners realized that the operations would be more easily managed if divided into individual units and thus the creation of Artistic Fabric Mills (AFM) and Artistic Garment Industries (AGI) as separate legal entities. Over the years AFM and AGI have made Denim a Culture, and aspire to continue to grow and become the number one premium denim supplier in the world.
