As the war on Iran have disrupted global crude oil shipping routes, Pakistani refineries adjusted
procurement strategies and managed their crude oil inventories to prevent energy shortages, according
to refinery officials and data seen by Arab News.

“The recent period has shown that a coordinated approach, combined with strong domestic refining
capacity, can effectively shield the country from external supply shocks,” Usama Qureshi, Vice Chairman
of Cnergyico Pk Limited., told Arab News on Monday.

This contribution of essential medical equipment will strengthen the capacity of LRBT’s Secondary Eye Hospital in Quetta, enhancing diagnostic precision and enabling more efficient, sight-restoring surgical interventions for underserved communities across Balochistan.

The agreement was signed by Abasscyit Benefit’s Director and Chairman Mr. Syed Arshad Raza, Cnergyico’s Vice President Corporate Services & General Counsel, Mr. Ghulam Sarwar and Mr. Zain Hasham, Chief Operating Officer at LRBT. Cnergyico Pk Limited and Abasscyit Benefit have joined hands with the Bioniks Welfare Foundation to support deserving amputees from underserved communities across Pakistan, including those near our operational areas, by provision of advanced prosthetic limbs. This initiative aims to restore mobility, independence, and economic stability—enabling individuals to return to work, pursue education, and actively participate in everyday life with renewed confidence.

Through this collaboration, Cnergyico will sponsor the establishment of a 5-Unit Dialysis Bay, expanding SIUT’s capacity to treat patients suffering from End-Stage Kidney Disease. This facility will enable more frequent and timely dialysis sessions, reduce waiting times, and ensure continuity of care for patients who depend on regular treatment to survive.
