Science And Religion

Science And Religion To understand the position of Science and Religion for their mutual progress and existence in a healthy, progressive and spiritual society.

The project aims to understand the position of Science and Religion for their mutual progress and existence in a healthy, progressive and spiritual society. It aims to clarify the epistemological boundaries and highlight the limits of science in philosophical and moral matters. Thus, it supports non-overlapping Magesteria. It strives to engage scientists to acknowledge the limits of science and av

oid suppressing religion which provides deeper meaning of life. It recognizes the fact that Science should not be at the service of religion, but for identifying natural cause and effect relationships. Religion does not frustrate that purpose at all. Muslim scholars are supportive of stem cell research, genetic engineering and robotics within ethical bounds for promoting welfare. It acknowledges that Science should be universal and its established knowledge through evidence should benefit all mankind and should be developed and contributed in by people from diverse demographic backgrounds. It asserts that no religious text is a pure science book nor any religion claims as such. Yet the deeper meaning of life espoused by different religions is beyond the domain of science to be an arbiter in such philosophical matters. However, between different religions, it could help in comparative verification of specific observable and verifiable notions to dispel myths. Nonetheless, the case for the fundamental existence of religion does not principally rests on scientific verification. It aims to show that modern science in no way undermines faith or could undermine it since faith in religion is based on the metaphysical, philosophical and moral basis for comprehending deeper meaning and purpose of life rather than on a scientific hypothesis of 'God of the Gaps'.
