Headline: Successfully Commissioned a 2-Axis Zigzag Cutting Machine Control System
​I recently completed the automation logic for a 2-axis (X/Y) zigzag cutting machine using a Wecon PLC and HMI. The system is designed for precision and flexibility, allowing users to input specific parameters directly via the HMI.
​The Logic Flow:
​Y-Axis: Moves forward to a user-defined distance (mm).
​X-Axis: Executes a lateral cut based on HMI-inputted dimensions.
​Return Cycle: The Y-axis returns to the home position to complete the step.
​Batch Processing: The system supports multi-step ex*****on (up to 8 steps or more) based on the operator's requirements.

Project Title: Automated Multi-Stage Induction Hardening System
​Project Description
​I designed and commissioned a fully automated motion control system for an induction hardening process. The system manages the precise feeding, positioning, and heat treatment of industrial shafts using a high-performance WECON PLC/HMI and Panasonic Servo architecture.
​The core of the project involves a synchronized sequence where a stepper motor indexes a tray to release a single shaft, which is then picked up by a servo-driven ball screw assembly. The system uses a sophisticated multi-step speed profile (Medium → Slow → Precise Stop) to ensure the shaft is positioned perfectly for the induction process.
​Key Technical Features:
​Precision Motion Control: Utilized a Panasonic Servo motor calibrated in mm for high-accuracy linear positioning.
​Recipe Management System: Programmed the PLC to store 3 unique operation profiles. Operators can switch between different shaft types via the HMI without needing to manually re-enter speeds, distances, or heating durations.
​Dynamic Speed Profiling: Engineered a logic-based speed transition that automatically shifts from high-speed transport to a "slow-approach" mode to ensure repeatable hardening results.
​Integrated Induction Timing: Seamlessly synchronized the PLC output with the induction hardening machine, including adjustable dwell times for heating.
​Optimized Cycle Time: Programmed a high-speed "Return-to-Home" sequence to minimize idle time between cycles.

​This system utilizes a high-speed Fatek PLC as the central controller, managing the synchronization between pneumatic actuators, a precision servo system, and the welding power source.
​Controller: Fatek PLC (Logic and I/O handling).
​Motion Control: Panasonic Servo Motor (Precise 360° rotation/wire feeding).
​Human Machine Interface (HMI): Dual-HMI setup for operator control and real-time monitoring.
​Actuators: Dual pneumatic jacks for torch and wire positioning.
​Operational Workflow
​The machine follows a strict safety and logic sequence to ensure weld consistency:
​Initialization: Operator activates the start switch.
​Clamping/Positioning: Two pneumatic jacks descend—one positioning the wire guide and the other positioning the welding torch.
​Pre-Flow: Shielding gas is activated first to purge the welding area.
​Process Start: The welding arc ignites, and the Panasonic Servo begins the feeding/rotation process.
​Execution: The system performs a precise 360-degree weld cycle.
​Cycle End: Upon completion, the welding arc, wire feed, and gas are deactivated in sequence (Post-flow).
​Auto-Home: Jacks automatically retract to the home position for the next part loading.
