The department of Chemistry, King Abdullah Campus Chattar Klass, arranged a seminar on 15-6-2023. Three scientists (Dr. Muhammad Sabir, Dr. Irshad Makhdoom and Dr. Usman) from Rice Research Institute, Kala Shah Kaku, Lahore shared their knowledge. Dr. Muhammad Sabir delivered lecture about Rice production, varieties development and way forward to produce rice varieties at low temperature in Azad Kashmir. Director Planning, Prof. Dr. Ansar Yasin, ORIC personnel, especially Dr. Rauf Director ORIC also graced this event. This proved valuable for both teachers and students to apprehend the role and effort s of scientists to improve rice characteristics (grain length, fragrance, segregation etc.). Overall, talk was thought provoking and helpful to think in a scientific manner. We are thankful to Rice Research Institute Kala Shah Kaku team for sparing precious time and valuable information.
