This image categorizes computer storage into *three main types*:
πππππππ ππππππ
πππ
- Volatile memory; stores data currently in use by the system.
- Data is lost when power is off.
- Fast read/write speeds.
πππ
- Non-volatile memory; contains permanent instructions (e.g., BIOS).
Cannot be modified easily.
πππππ
- Very fast, small memory located inside or close to the CPU.
- Temporarily stores frequently used data for quick access.
*2. ππππππππ ππππππ (Permanent, user-accessible storage):
πππ (Hard Disk Drive)*:
- Magnetic storage, slower than SSDs but cheaper.
- Used for storing large amounts of data.
πππ (Solid State Drive)*:
- Faster than HDDs, no moving parts.
- Used for OS, software, and quick access data.
ππ/πππ (Compact Disc / Digital Versatile Disc)*:
- Optical storage used for media, backups, etc.
- Becoming less common.

- Portable, rewritable storage device.
- Useful for transferring files between systems.
*3. Tertiary/ Cloud Storage* (Backup, long-term, or remote storage):

- Online storage (e.g., Google Drive, Dropbox).
