منفعت ایک ہے اِس قوم کی نقصان بھی ایک
ایک ہی سب کا نبی ، دین بھی ، ایمان بھی ایک
حرمِ پاک بھی اللہ بھی قرآن بھی ایک
کچھ بڑی بات تھی ہوتے جو مسلمان بھی ایک
فرقہ بندی ہے کہیں اور کہیں ذاتیں ہیں
کیا زمانے میں پنپنے کی یہی باتیں ہیں

"Benefit is one, loss is one for this nation,
The Prophet is one, the faith is one.
The Kaaba is one, Allah is one, the Quran is one,
It would have been a great thing if Muslims were one.
Divisions are somewhere, and racial distinctions are elsewhere,
These are the issues of flourishing in the times.
The unity of Muslims is the need of the hour,
But we are entangled in the complexities of sects and clans."
