Here, research is only part of the story.
What you don’t see in publications or lab reports are the small, everyday moments that shape the experience just as much - a hesitant “good morning,” a conversation carried half in words, half in gestures, a supervisor waiting at the entrance on your very first day, a friendship that grows quietly over time.
In the film we’re sharing today, our doctoral candidates speak about Poland through their own perspectives - with honesty, distance and a sense of discovery. It’s about differences but even more about what happens when those differences meet: curiosity, adjustment, and, eventually, connection.
These are the same values behind Doctoral Candidate Day: Diversity and Intercultural Dialogue, which we invite you to join on 24 April. The event is a space to reflect on what it means to work, study, and build relationships across cultures - not in theory, but in real, lived experience.
If you’ve ever wondered how international environments actually feel from the inside, start with the film and continue the conversation with us this Friday 🤝
