Our Managing Director, Anna Gębarska, shares a short report from the second day of the Digital Heritage Summit in Cyprus 🇨🇾
Another intense and inspiring day, full of discussions that go straight to the heart of the digital heritage community. 🔥
The conference continued in two parallel tracks, including the Hackathon, where professionals and school groups explored how 3D data can be used in digital heritage. We are looking forward to the final results! 🚀
Parallel sessions focused on key topics: data acquisition, measurement standards, data storage, 3D viewers and Memory Twin.
One message came back very strongly: we need practical measurement standards.
For almost 20 years, working with archaeologists, museums and cultural heritage institutions, we have heard the same question many times:
“What parameters should we actually use?”
This is not about scanning every object at the highest possible quality. It is about giving people clear reference points — so objects are digitised with parameters suitable for their size, purpose and future use.
Even a short guideline with basic parameters, measurement conditions and simple verification protocols could make a real difference.

Another important topic was 3D data viewers. For many users, simple and accessible tools are needed now.
That is why we created our own viewer: to open a 3D model, measure point-to-point, remove the texture and check the geometry underneath. No unnecessary complexity — just practical control. 👀
The day also brought inspiring conversations about Memory Twin — how to connect data, stories, history and social meaning without losing the human layer behind cultural heritage. ❤️
Thank you to everyone involved in yesterday’s discussions. These are exactly the conversations that can move digital heritage forward.
