On 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟮𝟱, 𝟭𝟵𝟰𝟲, the "Gliding Institute" was established. On October 5, 1948, the Institute was renamed the SZD – Szybowcowy Zaklad Doiwiadczalny "Glider Experimental Works".

As heirs to the traditions of the Institute and the Glider Experimental Works, we wish all former and current employees, and all the pilots and mechanics devoted to the SZD gliders, all the best on your 80th birthday. 🎂😍🎉

It is not the only important date in this jubilee year! We are planning to celebrate it as the occasion deserves. 👉 Stay tuned — and start planning your May 1.-3. weekend in the Bielsko-Biała area.

Dutch Gliding Day 2025 ✈️
It was a great day in the Netherlands! Throughout the day, between presentations, Bernd (CEO) and Elias (project engineer) were available to answer your questions about our electric glider 🔋 SZD-55-2 NEXUS-e-motion. It was great to chat to you about gliding in the awesome atmosphere of Dutch Gliding Day. Many thanks to KNVvL for organising the day so perfectly, picking a beautiful location at Breda International Airport , putting together such an interesting programme, and providing such excellent catering.

🌙🎈 25k people watched the 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗸𝗼𝘇 𝗗𝘂𝗼 at the Leszczyńska Noc Balonowa on September 30th from the Lotnisko Leszno airfield. Mariusz and Adam - the pilot duo - glide elegantly alongside, through, and above the 65 balloons in their air show side by side. Thanks for all of your enthusiastic comments. It was great to be part of such a night 🌠

✨Yesterday during the event dedicated to the achievements of 𝗔𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗮 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗼𝘄𝘀𝗸𝗮 - the retired glider pilot and the coach of the Polish national gliding team - she had an opportunity to fly our Demo Perkoz. Very proud moment for us to receive all the compliments after this flight.

Throughout her flying career, she set 12 world records and 43 Polish records, including the 🥇women's world record for height gain in 1967 (8,430 m) and the 🏆world record for the distance traveled in a straight line in 1977 (837 km). In 1974, she also established the 🏅record for the longest glider flight in Poland, covering a distance of 837 km.
