🔗 ESMIL x Probig® chain scrapers at a new water treatment plant in Ukraine

A new water treatment plant for a local water utility has been commissioned in Ukraine. The project was driven by the condition of the existing infrastructure, which had not been modernized for over 50 years, and by the fact that previously used technologies no longer met current drinking water quality requirements.

The new facility, with a capacity of 100,000 m³/day, covers the full water treatment cycle, from raw water intake from a reservoir to the supply of drinking water to end users. As part of the process line, six ESMIL x Probig® chain scrapers were installed in rectangular grit chambers.

➡ The units play a key role in the mechanical treatment stage, ensuring continuous and effective removal of settled solids from the bottom of the grit chambers. This supports stable and uninterrupted operation of the entire treatment system.

Four Ø40 m radial scrapers by ESMIL in the Qatar National Vision 2030 project

Do you remember the large, 40-meter radial scrapers from the ESMIL production hall? Today, they are already in Qatar. ✅
The units have been delivered to our client, where they will soon be installed as part of a strategic upgrade of the Al Wakrah and Al Wukair wastewater treatment plants.

The project is part of the Qatar National Vision 2030 program and aims to increase the capacity of both facilities from 150,000 to 600,000 m³/d.

As part of the project, ESMIL Group was responsible for the design and manufacturing of four 40-meter diameter radial central driven sludge scrapers for primary clarifiers. The units were made of AISI 316L stainless steel, ensuring high resistance in an aggressive wastewater environment. They are equipped with reinforced central drives designed for stable and safe operation, including in hazardous (ATEX) zones. 🔧

After installation, the units will be additionally fitted with lightweight, durable aluminum covers supplied by A.T. Covers, designed to reduce odor emissions. ⚙

Although Esmil Corp in the US market is primarily associated with sludge dewatering solutions, our engineering expertise goes far beyond that.

We are proud to present our latest project for the City of Bryan wastewater treatment plant (Ohio, USA) - a gravity thickener equipped with a picket scraper.

The unit is designed for effective thickening of various types of sludge and suspensions, ensuring stable operation under variable load conditions. As a result, the volume of sludge directed to dewatering is significantly reduced, which directly translates into lower costs related to transport, stabilization and final sludge handling.

It operates continuously, and the integrated control system allows adjustment of rotational speed to match current process conditions.🔧 The unit is manufactured from stainless steel, ensuring high resistance to corrosion and reliable operation in aggressive wastewater environments.
