55 tonnes of aluminium. One of the most visible structures on a cruise ship.
Currently taking shape at ALU International Shipyard in Gdańsk is an approximately 55-tonne aluminium funnel structure for a cruise vessel.
A ship’s funnel is far more than a functional structure. It is one of the vessel’s most prominent architectural features—visible from every angle and forming an important part of its overall identity.
Its construction therefore requires:
• high dimensional accuracy,
• excellent surface fairness,
• precise fabrication of complex curved sections,
• consistently high welding quality.
The scale and geometry of this project demonstrate our capability to manufacture large and technically demanding aluminium structures under one roof—from prefabrication and forming through assembly and welding.
Projects like this are made possible by the experience, precision and commitment of our entire production team.
