🌊 Exciting News from VARD and Wind Energy Construction! 🚢

We are thrilled to announce that VARD has signed a contract with Wind Energy Construction for the design and construction of an advanced energy construction vessel (ECV), the VARD 3 11 model. This state-of-the-art vessel is tailor-made for the offshore wind and subsea markets, specializing in inspection, maintenance, and repair of pipes, as well as the construction and installation of infrastructure above and below sea level.

Key features of the ECV include exceptional station-keeping, maneuverability, and sea-keeping capabilities. It also boasts flexible configuration options to accommodate various operations. Notably, this will be the first VARD-built vessel to feature a permanently installed motion-compensated gangway (walk-to-work) with Electric Controlled Motion Compensated (ECMC) technology and integrated 3D compensated crane functionality.

To further enhance its capabilities, the ECV will be equipped with a 150-tonne movement-compensated offshore crane, perfect for the growing renewables market.

We are also excited to announce that the contract includes an option for an additional vessel, which can be confirmed later this year.

Wind Energy Construction, a Norwegian company partly owned by the founders and owners of Norwind Offshore, continues to build a strong partnership with VARD. This marks the sixth vessel they have contracted with VARD since October 2021, following five previous CSOVs.

🌞 Exciting News from the World! 🌞

Green Genius has partnered with Nala Renewables (Nala) to sell a 34MW solar portfolio in Lithuania. This partnership marks a significant step in expanding clean energy footprint. In addition to the initial 34MW operational assets, Nala has agreed to acquire an additional 45MW of PV projects in the near term, bringing the total portfolio to an impressive 79MW.

This full portfolio will generate approximately 96,000MW hours of clean energy annually, powering around 9500 households and reducing about 20,000 tonnes of CO2 equivalent emissions each year.
Will Herlinger, Nala Renewables Director, emphasized the strategic importance of the Baltic region, stating, "We see the Baltics as a key strategic region for our business and plan to continue to grow our presence there."
Rokas Bancevičius, CFO of Green Genius, expressed excitement about the partnership: "This is acknowledgment of the quality of renewable energy projects that the Green Genius team delivers."
