W dniach 10-12 września mieliśmy przyjemność uczestniczyć w wydarzeniu European Rover Challenge w Kielcach. Podczas krótkiej prelekcji, będącej częścią "Strefy Inspiracji", poruszyliśmy temat problemu śmieci kosmicznych i zaprezentowaliśmy wyniki naszych marcowych eksperymentów. Dziękujemy matlab.pl i organizatorom European Rover Challenge za zaproszenie i możliwość uczestniczenia w tym święcie kosmosu. Wspaniale było zobaczyć tak wielu pasjonatów wśród wystawców, prelegentów, prowadzących warsztaty i uczestników, a także łaziki przygotowane przez zespoły z całej Europy. Gratulujemy Impuls Mars Rover wygranej w klasyfikacji generalnej, a naszym kolegom z AGH Space Systems wygranej w dwóch konkurencjach (Nawigacja i Prezentacja)! On September 10-12, we had the pleasure to participate in the European Rover Challenge event in Kielce, the biggest space & robotics event in Europe. During the second day, as a part of "Inspiration Zone", we briefly talked about the problem of space debris and presented the results of our experiments. We're grateful for matlab.pl and organizers of the European Rover Challenge for the invitation and the opportunity to participate in this space festival. It was great to see so many space enthusiasts among the exhibitors, speakers, workshops, and participants, as well as rovers prepared by teams from all over Europe. Congratulations to Impuls Mars Rover winning in the general classification and our colleagues from AGH Space Systems winning in two competitions (Navigation and Presentation)! This day surprised us with the amount of news around the internet about our project. 🚀
So far we know about 9 articles and two radio broadcasts. This really makes us happy that we could play a role in raising awareness about the problem of space debris!

Today we also arrived safely (and with negative tests!) to Germany where we begin the 5 day quarantine before our experimental campaign. 💪

Fingers crossed for NASA Perseverance mission! See how ESA - European Space Agency's Mars orbiters are helping the rover to land safely.

[Updated] NASA's Perseverance Mars Rover is expected to land on the Red Planet at 20:55 GMT/21:55 CET this evening. To communicate with Earth from its landing site in Jezero crater, the rover will rely on spacecraft orbiting Mars as relays for data and commands.

ESA’s ExoMars Trace Gas Orbiter (TGO) is one of these spacecraft. We would like to thank eblaszki.pl for delivering the plates! We received a dozen steel and aluminum plates, which are necessary for our experiment. These parts are designed to attach the release mechanism to the capsule and to protect our cameras during experiments. They will have to withstand accelerations up to 30g 🚀, which shouldn't be a problem for them 💪

Serdecznie dziękujemy eblaszki.pl za dostarczenie płytek! Otrzymaliśmy kilkanaście blach stalowych i aluminiowych niezbędnych do naszego eksperymentu. Części te służą do mocowania mechanizmu zwalniającego do kapsuły i do ochrony naszych kamer podczas eksperymentów. Będą musiały wytrzymać przeciążenia do 30g 🚀, co nie powinno stanowić dla nich problemu 💪

We are happy to announce that our team will present a poster "Design and results of an experiment with the goal of gathering data on the motion of a non-rigid body in microgravity" at the 8th European Conference on Space Debris. We will present the design of our experiment and the first results. This event takes place on 20-23 April 2021.
