Garbage in, garbage out. Four words that still summarize the biggest blind spot in AI adoption in biotech.

That was a topic in episode one of our podcast, Beyond AI Biotech Buzzwords - and if you missed it, this is your sign to catch up.

Jan Majta, PhD and Dawid Rymarczyk, PhD talk about what actually decides whether AI delivers value in drug discovery - or burns through time and budget.

Why does high accuracy mean useful outcomes?
Why adoption by scientists remains a real challenge?
Where do teams keep losing focus?

Just an honest look at how AI fits into real workflows.

Protein engineering, AI-designed binders, immunotherapy are among the key themes at PEGS Boston 2026 this week.

The Ardigen team Joanna Marczyńska-Grzelak, PhD, Matthew Pereira, MBA and Kathy Laska is in Boston meeting with researchers and partners working across biologics discovery and AI-supported therapeutic design.

Today during Session C, we’ll present two posters:
• C014: ARDiTox: Safer pHLA-Targeted Immunotherapies Through AI and Computational Immunology
• C015: AI-Driven De Novo Generation of Protein Binders

If you’re attending PEGS and working on biologics, protein engineering, or AI-enabled discovery workflows, we’d be happy to meet.

From promising models to real clinical implementation.

AIMed 2026 in Kraków brought together clinicians, researchers, and technology leaders to discuss how AI is moving from experimentation into practical healthcare and drug discovery applications.

Ardigen joined the conversation with:

• Michal Warchol, PhD, MBA joined a panel moderated by Krzysztof Pyrc, PhD, MBA.

• Dawid Rymarczyk, PhD shared insights on “Defeating E-room’s law with AI: Real-world data-driven drug discovery”

Strong conversations around what it actually takes to deploy AI in real scientific and clinical settings.

One year after launching Elsa 1.0, the FDA has expanded its internal AI assistant organization-wide.

Elsa 4.0 now supports:
- Custom agentic AI
- Data analysis & visualization
- Document generation & text recognition
- Secure web search capabilities

At the same time, the FDA consolidated 40+ data systems into a unified platform called HALO, enabling staff to query information and build workflows without manually moving documents between systems.

Importantly, the FDA states that Elsa does not train on regulated industry submissions, and human experts remain involved throughout the process.

According to Chief AI Officer Jeremy Walsh, the goal is to accelerate regulatory science and help speed the path to new treatments and cures.

You can spend millions on AI…
-and still get nowhere.

In drug discovery, failure rarely starts with the model.
It starts with the data.
Most datasets look “AI-ready.”
They’re not.

Inside the ebook:
• 5 data types that actually matter
• why benchmarks mislead
• where pipelines lose value
• what “AI-ready” really means

How to make AI work in biotech?

We’re kicking off Beyond AI Biotech Buzzwords with a conversation about what decides whether AI efforts in drug discovery deliver value - or not.

In this episode, Jan Majta, PhD and Dawid Rymarczyk, PhD discuss:
• why many initiatives never make it into practice
• what matters beyond the model itself
• why high accuracy doesn’t guarantee useful outcomes
• where teams lose time and budget
• why adoption by scientists remains a challenge

A closer look at how AI fits into drug discovery workflows - without the hype.

AI in drug discovery is shifting from prediction to causality.

That was one of the key themes at the Agentic AI & Data Innovation Summit in Basel.

From knowledge graphs to decision-ready intelligence, the focus is no longer just on models, but on how AI actually supports real R&D decisions.

Great to see Kaja Milanowska-Zabel, PhD and Błażej Szczerba in the middle of these discussions, with Błażej joining the panel on scalable AI in drug discovery.

Were you there? Curious what stood out to you.

We’re at AACR Annual Meeting 2026 in San Diego!

This year’s programme makes one thing clear: AI is now embedded across cancer research - from multimodal data and spatial biology to emerging therapeutic modalities.

At the same time, the growing complexity of data and biology continues to challenge how insights are translated into real decisions.

Let’s talk about it on-site with Jan Majta, PhD, Livia Legg, Kathy Laska, and Evan Stoll.
