Meeting global trends and academic needs Student Geophysical Society ‘Geophone’ decided to take part in worldwide discussion on shale gas by creating this unique conference in Cracow on 7th - 9th June. First we are trying to start with: gathering international students, lecturers, and experts in the field of geology and geophysics to expand knowledge about prospection and extraction of shale gas.

Our second aim is to activize local societies and younger generations by inviting our hometown’s high school students to participate to share useful knowledge and fight harmful stereotypes.
