PIA Member Spotlight: AIR-POL Sp. z o.o.
A PIA Sustaining Member since joining the association, AIR-POL is a Polish parachute manufacturer based in Legionowo, in the Mazovian Voivodeship. The company began operating in 1989 as a joint venture founded by Włodzimierz Budziński and Władysław Radwański, a former airman of No. 300 Bomber Squadron of the Polish Armed Forces in the West.
According to the company, AIR-POL has produced more than 20,000 parachutes since 1989, on which more than ten million jumps have been made. Its range includes round and troop systems (the Dedal AD-95 series, L-2 Kadet), ram-air systems (Feniks Future, Feniks S, Feniks Military, Feniks Military G-9, AD-2000), emergency parachutes (SK-94, S-4), cargo systems (ZT-100, ZT-100G), aircraft drogue chutes (SH-22, SH-29), canopies, windsocks, rigger kits, weapon covers and reserve certification services.
The company also offers the SOKÓŁ parachute simulator.
Most of AIR-POL's production goes to the Polish Armed Forces, though its parachutes are also in use in several European Union countries, the United States, the United Kingdom, Arab countries and India.
