Mamy to! Mamy całość numeru specjalnego pt. „Complex and Diverse Singlehood Experiences”! Wydanie specjalne obejmuje 12 artykułów na temat życia w pojedynkę, które ukazały się na przełomie 2025/2026 roku w czasopiśmie Personal Relationships!
Pomysł na opracowanie numeru specjalnego na temat życia w pojedynkę zrodził się w listopadzie 2023 r., a efekt finalny mamy w marcu 2026. To zatem kolejny dowód na to, że na wielkie rzeczy warto (lub czasem trzeba!) poczekać.
Ogromne podziękowania składam: 1. Współredaktorce wydania specjalnego Prof. Yuthika U. Girme z Simon Fraser University (Kanada), bez której zaangażowania nie udałoby się nam dotrzeć do mety. 2. Call for Proposals, 12th Conference on Emerging Adulthood

I am more than proud to be a part of the IARR 2025 MINI-CONFERENCE ON GENDER, SEXUALITY, AND RELATIONSHIPS
UXBRIDGE 2025 ORGANIZING COMMITTEE.

We want to put on your radar, the IARR mini-conference on Gender, Sexuality, and Relationships (July 31-August 3, 2025) to be held at Brunel University London. Please keep checking the conference Web page (https://iarrconferences.com) for upcoming details regarding the mini-conference. For example, at the website we will have information on what will be required for various types of submissions (e.g., posters, stand-alone papers, symposia, data blitzes). We anticipate opening the submission portal by early-to-mid October 2024, keeping the submissions portal open until approximately mid-December 2024, and notifying authors around mid-January 2025 regarding decisions on the submitted proposals. The registration portal will open shortly after those notifications have been sent to authors. Priority for registration will be given to those who have submitted abstracts. However, we are open to registrations from individuals who have not submitted abstracts if space permits.

We are looking for volunteers to help review abstracts! Please contact Stan Gaines ([email protected]) if you are interested. In the meantime, stay tuned for further developments!

Yesterday, I returned from a four-day research trip to the Institute of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy at the Technische Universität Dresden. Thanks to funding from our ID-UB, I had the opportunity to meet Professor Philipp Kanske and his team. Professor Kanske is conducting an ERC Consolidator grant entitled. "INTERACT - The interplay of neural networks enabling social interaction" (https://tu-dresden.de/mn/psychologie/die-fakultaet/news/erc-consolidator-grant-fuer-philipp-kanske?set_language=en).
It was four days of intensive work (Prof. Kanske also invited me to give a mini-lecture on singlehood) and inspiring talks, for which I am extremely grateful to Dr. Katharina Förster, Dr. Ingmar Heiner, Dr. Konrad Lehmann, M.Sc. Danilo Sequeira Calero, M.Sc. Elena Ruge and M.Sc. Julia Stietz.
