On May 15, 2026, the BIOFORCE conference – Biotechnology for Orthopedics, Rehabilitation and Competitive Excellence – took place at our Centre in cooperation with Rehasport . 🧬🏃‍♂️
The conference brought together researchers, doctors, physiotherapists, and sports specialists to discuss new developments in biotechnology, orthopedics, rehabilitation, and competitive sports. The program included topics such as regenerative medicine (presented by e.g. Przemysław Lubiatowski, Tomasz Piontek, Paweł Bąkowski Ortopeda), cell therapies, biomaterials, tissue engineering, and technologies supporting recovery and physical performance.
BIOFORCE was the first event of this kind and created an opportunity to connect people from science, medicine, and biotechnology. The conference also opened the way for future meetings focused on innovation and collaboration in these fields.
Thank you to everyone who took part in the event! 🙌

On April 22, 2026, 👩‍🏫 Professor Nataliya Babayevska, together with the 🎓 PhD students of the Nanobiomedical Centre, visited a 🏭 cosmetics company Latech Sp. z o.o.

The company’s staff provided a detailed overview of its 📜 history and development, and conducted an informative tour of both the ⚙️ production and 🎨 creative departments. The participants had the opportunity to learn about the 🧴 product creation process — from 🧪 formula development to 🏷️ label design, 📝 product descriptions, 🌍 export organization, and 📣 marketing.

As part of the visit, the guests also took part in a 🧼 soap-making workshop, which proved to be an especially engaging and hands-on experience.

The tour took place in a 😊 warm and friendly atmosphere. The PhD students showed great interest, actively asked ❓ questions, and participated in 💬 discussions.

We want to express our 🙏 sincere gratitude for the opportunity to visit the company. Special thanks go to Latech Co-founder, 👩 Karolina Latanowicz, as well as 👩 Karolina Jaworska, 👩 Aleksandra Galarda, and 👩 Magda Majcher, for their time, openness, and willingness to share their 💼 professional experience.

What can you discover at CNBM during the Poznański Festiwal Nauki i Sztuki ? Quite a lot, actually. ✨

We talked about what “quality” really means 🤔, how bees take care of it (and why they seem perfect at what they do) 🐝, and even what bees have in common with bubbles!

It was a great day—full of curiosity, questions, and hands-on fun 🔬🎈

And we also got to see the passion behind it all:

💛 Hanna Kuczyńska – bees and working with children
⚡ Jacek Jenczyk – physics
🧪 Patryk Florczak – engaging experiments

A lot to learn, a lot to explore, and a really good time 🙌

Big thanks as well to everyone who helped make the event happen: Marcin Jarek, Krystian Stankowski, Marcin Pestka, Anna Maciejewska, Alicja Jorasz, Weronika Andrzejewska and Szymon Murawka.

🔬 New world-class scientific instrument at NanoBioMedical Center of Adam Mickiewicz University!

📅 Yesterday, a new JASCO FT/IR-8X‑FV infrared spectrometer was installed at the NanoBioMedical Center of Adam Mickiewicz University.

⚙️This is a world‑class instrument, featuring a spectral resolution of 0.07 cm⁻¹ and exceptionally high sensitivity, achieved through a fully vacuum‑sealed optical design and the use of a liquid‑nitrogen‑cooled MCT detector.

🔍 In addition to transmission measurements, the instrument is also equipped with an accessory for surface‑sensitive reflection measurements.

💰The acquisition was funded by the National Science Centre, Poland, under the SONATA BIS research project led by Prof. Mikołaj Lewandowski.
