Hemolens Diagnostics is a Polish venture which specializes in cardiac diagnostics. Each year almost 18 million people die from Coronary Artery Disease.

It’s now the number one cause of death Worldwide. But the problem lies also in Cardiac Diagnostics. The current diagnostic pathway is very long, expensive, and still not accurate enough. Because of that almost 30% of patients are sent home with their undetected disease. Unnecessary invasive coronary angiographies increase costs and waiting times. Our team consisting of bioengineers, cardiologists,

and ICT professionals has created an innovative, non-invasive method of identifying atherosclerosis.

What an exciting day for Hemolens Diagnostics! 🌟

We are pleased to announce that we have officially received our MDR certificate for Cardiolens Viewer®, during a formal handover by Rheinland.

This achievement marks the successful completion of the conformity assessment under Regulation (EU) 2017/745 (MDR) and the certification of our Quality Management System in accordance with EN ISO 13485 📝.

🫀 Cardiolens Viewer®, our first commercial product, transforms coronary CT angiography into an intuitive, patient-specific 3D visualization of the coronary arteries. Using automated vessel segmentation and advanced visualization techniques, it enables automatic detection of potential clinically significant stenoses requiring further assessment and supports evaluation of the coronary arteries.

The certificate confirms that the medical device complies with the applicable requirements of the MDR, including those related to safety, performance, clinical evaluation, and quality management, marking a key step toward its placement on the EU market.

This success would not have been possible without the dedication and commitment of the entire Hemolens Diagnostics team. We extend our sincere thanks and congratulations to everyone who contributed to this achievement, from the early stages of product development through to the successful completion of the certification process 💙.

What if technology could give us more time? ⌛

More time for prevention. More time for diagnosis. More time for better health outcomes.

This was one of the key themes discussed yesterday at IT UNPLUGGED in Lublin – an event organized by the City of Lublin and the Lubelska Wyżyna Przemysłowa Foundation, bringing together business leaders, technology experts, entrepreneurs, and innovators from across Poland.

We were proud to be part of this conversation. During the presentation “How to Hack Time? Digital Cardiology as the Key to the Most Profitable Market of the Future”, Ziemowit Ostrowski, scientist and CSO at Hemolens Diagnostics, shared how digital health solutions can support earlier diagnosis, improve patient care, and help healthcare systems address the challenges of aging populations and the growing burden of cardiovascular diseases 🫀. Following, in the second part of his talk, Ziemowit discussed challenges and strategy on how to build a business around this technological advantage.

One thing is clear: the digital transformation of healthcare is no longer a future trend - it is becoming a necessity.

Furthermore, during the conference, Ziemowit had the opportunity to attend several highly inspiring lectures delivered by other speakers, among them a presentation by Mateusz Kusznierewicz on management, motivation, and the personal development of a leader, as well as a lecture by Andrzej Dragan
on quantum cryptography.

We did it! Hemolens Diagnostics officially enters a new era with MDR certification for our first product 🎉🚀

📄 We are proud to announce that we have successfully completed the conformity assessment procedure for our Cardiolens Viewer®, in accordance with the Medical Device Regulation (EU) MDR 2017/745 combined with EN ISO 13485 certification. The process was conducted in collaboration with the notified body TÜV Rheinland Medical Devices.

This demanding process can be compared to a marathon, where thorough preparation, strong cross-functional collaboration, and attention to every detail at every stage were vital. At the finish line, we received official confirmation: our medical device - which supports CCTA analysis through 3D visualization of coronary arteries to reveal significant stenoses and facilitate more informed diagnostic decisions - meets the applicable regulatory requirements 🫀.

What this means in practice:
✅ Demonstration of conformity with applicable safety and performance requirements.
✅ Clinical evaluation conducted in accordance with MDR requirements.
✅ CE marking allows the product to be legally placed on the EU market.
✅ Developed within a Quality Management System compliant with EN ISO 13485.

Big news! We're thrilled to welcome Bernard Gołko as our new Chief Executive Officer at Hemolens Diagnostics! 👏

Bernard brings over 10 years of experience in the medtech and financial sectors, as well as extensive experience as an investor in venture capital and in scaling innovative technology companies.

Previously, also in the role of CEO, he developed certified neurostimulation devices and a therapeutic platform that combines VR with neuromodulation, aimed, among other things, at patients with neurodegenerative diseases.

He is a co-creator of the AgeTech Polska initiative and the AgeTech.pl platform - one of Poland’s key hubs for knowledge and debate on technologies supporting healthy aging and the longevity economy. He also lectured at the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology, sharing his expertise in innovation and technology entrepreneurship.

Beyond the world of tech and business, Bernard is passionate about long-distance enduro travels, music, and self-development.

Innovation isn’t a slogan - it’s something that’s happening now 🚀.

We are proud to share that Hemolens Diagnostics’ patent application has been named a Quartus 2026 laureate - an award that recognizes creators of inventions submitted for patent protection.

The prized application concerned a method for processing continuous non-invasive arterial blood pressure signals🩸🫀. The author of the awarded patent is Bartosz Olszewski, BME Engineer at Hemolens Diagnostics, in collaboration with PhD in Engineering, Cyprian Mataczyński, and PhD, Habilitation in Engineering, Magdalena Kasprowicz, Head of the BrainLab research group.

The winning application was submitted jointly with Wrocław University of Science and Technology (Politechnika Wrocławska) as part of the PhD Program, where Bartosz Olszewski attends.
