In a recent paper published in Frontiers in Immunology, Dr. Ying Ye and colleagues at the Chongqing Medical University revealed down-regulated autoantibodies in early lung cancer patients. These tumor-associated autoantibodies can be detected months to years before diagnosis, offering a promising avenue for earlier detection. Using large-scale screening with , researchers identified 15 decreased autoantibodies that provide 80% sensitivity and 87% specificity for stage IA lung cancer. Notably, 10 of these autoantibodies returned to normal levels post-surgery, indicating their potential as biomarkers for residual tumors.

PRESS RELEASE: We’re excited to announce the launch of our comprehensive Pan-isotype Profiling and Analysis platform! This cutting-edge solution enables researchers to explore all isotypes and subclasses, including IgA, IgD, IgE, IgG, and IgM, providing deeper insights into immune responses. With our advanced ™ and ® platforms, you can now conduct thorough pan-isotype profiling across thousands of human proteins. Whether you're investigating inflammatory conditions, autoimmune responses, or overall immune state, our innovative approach allows for a comprehensive and detailed analysis.

Dr. Barney Saunders states,"In the past, autoantibody discovery and profiling has often been limited to pan-IgG analysis, but each isotype and subclass plays a distinct role in humoral immunity... While earlier limitations in technology made this difficult, our new pan-isotype and subclass analysis capabilities now make it possible to explore these differences in far greater depth."

In a paper published in Frontiers in Immunology, Lixin Zhang and colleagues at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine explore the complex role of B lymphocytes in the ovarian tumor microenvironment. Utilizing our cutting-edge human proteome microarray, the researchers profiled over 21,000 proteins to identify critical antigens recognized by antibody-secreting B cells in cases of epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC). Notably, they found anti-CCDC155 circulating IgG antibodies in a substantial proportion of EOC patients’ sera, suggesting potential biomarkers for patient prognosis. This collaboration between HuProt technology and ovarian cancer research paves the way for future investigations into B cell biology, target antigen recognition, and the role of Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) proteins in shaping the tumor microenvironment.
