Biotechnology Research Center (BRC) is one of the research units of the Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at the Palestine Polytechnic University. It has been established in 2006 by a kind support provided through the Ministry of Education and Higher Education-Tertiary Education Project, which is a project funded by the European Commission and the World Bank. Currently, the BRC

center hosts research scientists, support staff and laboratory technicians and covers several society-relevant fields. It carries research, service and training activities through designated laboratories in the areas of agricultural biotechnology, medical biotechnology, industrial biotechnology and food biosafety.

A biotechnology nationwide center of excellence with international recognition. The mission of the Biotech Research Center is to enhance the Palestinian economy and society's capacity to harness the full potential of biotechnology in order to improve quality of life in the emerging Palestinian state.
