In the coming weeks, OPTIMAL GROUP will once again take part in REPMUS26 and ARTEx26, continuing our commitment to developing, testing and validating innovative technologies in operational environments.

Across land, air and maritime domains, we develop advanced technologies, products and solutions for demanding defence and security applications.

Our multi-domain approach brings together unmanned systems, rocket and launch technologies, advanced composite structures, ballistic protection and other mission-critical solutions — taking technology from development and manufacturing through to field experimentation and operational validation.

REPMUS26 – Robotic Experimentation and Prototyping with Maritime Unmanned Systems

Led by the Portuguese Navy, REPMUS is a major multinational exercise focused on the experimentation and validation of unmanned systems in the maritime domain, bringing together operational users, industry and academia.

Following our participation in REPMUS25, including the successful maritime launch of the HUNTER-02 rocket from NRP Figueira da Foz, we look forward to returning to the field in 2026.

ARTEx26 – Army Technological Experimentation

Hosted by the Portuguese Army at Campo Militar de Santa Margarida, ARTEx26 focuses on testing emerging technologies in realistic defence scenarios and supporting their transition towards military application.

Our participation in ARTEx25 included the successful demonstration of the HUNTER-01 launch system and field testing of our composite ballistic protection solutions.

From land to air and maritime environments, OPTIMAL GROUP remains permanently in the field — developing, manufacturing, testing, learning and delivering.

We were honoured to welcome Mr Diego Araujo Campos, Head of Energy & Mining and Tech Diplomat, and Head of the Science, Technology and Innovation Sector, to the OPTIMAL GROUP headquarters in Cascais.

It was a great pleasure to host this visit and exchange perspectives on the growing opportunities for collaboration between Portugal and Brazil across strategic sectors, including Space, Aeronautics, Defence and advanced technologies.

The meeting provided an excellent opportunity to discuss innovation, industrial capabilities and the potential for future partnerships that can strengthen technological cooperation between both countries.

OPTIMAL GROUP was honoured to participate in the Portuguese Industry Day at NATO Headquarters in Brussels, an initiative organised by idD Portugal Defence in cooperation with the Portuguese Delegation to NATO.

The event provided a valuable platform for direct engagement between Portuguese industry and representatives of Allied Armed Forces, NATO organisations, military delegations and embassies from across the Alliance.

Through OPTIMAL PROTECTION, the Group's dedicated defence company, we continue to strengthen our commitment to delivering innovative, reliable and scalable solutions that meet the demanding requirements of Allied forces and defence agencies.

At the event, OPTIMAL PROTECTION showcased its UAV platform and engaged directly with NATO stakeholders, Allied Armed Forces representatives and defence decision-makers from across the Alliance to present its broader defence portfolio, including UAV and USV solutions, as well as Advanced Composite Ballistic Protection systems. The platform is backed by a proven industrial capability capable of manufacturing more than 3,000 UAVs annually, demonstrating the Group's ability to support large-scale programmes and sustained operational requirements.
