At an energy park, a cybersecurity incident is not an IT problem.
SISINT is developing an OT cybersecurity project for a major renewable energy developer with a presence in Portugal, applied to a large-scale power generation asset.
This is not a one-off assessment. The scope includes:
✅ A governance model designed specifically for OT environments;
✅ A structured assessment of the facility’s cybersecurity risk — including assets and systems, architecture and dependencies, and relevant vulnerabilities;
✅ The measures required to strengthen operational resilience.
NIS2 and Decree-Law No. 125/2025 have reinforced organisations’ responsibilities in the sector regarding risk management, governance and business continuity.
But compliance is not the only reason to act.
OT systems directly support operations. A vulnerability, unauthorised access or security incident can result in asset downtime, production losses and non-compliance with grid operator requirements. Investing in OT cybersecurity means investing in business continuity.
It is precisely at the intersection of electrical engineering, automation and cybersecurity that SISINT has been building its expertise. We support producers, developers, EPCs and operators throughout the asset lifecycle — from assessment and requirements definition to the implementation and monitoring of cybersecurity measures.
