Electric motors are the backbone of industrial production. Their failure shouldn‘t be a surprise.

From pumps and compressors to conveyors and critical production systems, electric motors operate continuously under demanding conditions. Over time, electrical and mechanical problems can develop silently - often long before a visible symptom or alarm appears.

A reactive approach means discovering the problem when the motor stops.

Predictive maintenance changes the equation.

With ENGING‘s PreditMot, companies can continuously monitor the electrical condition of their motors using Electrical Signature Analysis (ESA) and advanced analytics, helping maintenance teams identify early signs of degradation and act before they become costly failures.

The benefits go beyond preventing breakdowns:

🔎 Earlier fault detection - identify developing problems before they impact production.
⏱️ Less unplanned downtime - reduce unexpected motor failures and interruptions.
🎯 Smarter maintenance planning - intervene based on actual asset condition.
💰 Lower maintenance costs - avoid unnecessary interventions and expensive emergency repairs.
📈 Extended asset lifetime - maintain motors according to their real operating condition.
🛡️ Greater operational reliability - keep critical processes running with greater confidence.

With PreditMot, maintenance teams don‘t have to wait for a motor to fail to know that something is wrong.

Monitor continuously. Detect earlier. Act smarter.

A transformer can look healthy and still be developing a critical fault. 🚨

Routine inspections provide valuable information, but they only offer a snapshot of an asset‘s condition. Between inspections, subtle electrical changes can develop inside transformer windings without producing any visible symptoms.

Electrical asymmetries may be an early indication of developing problems that, if left undetected, can progress towards insulation degradation, failure, and unplanned outages.

This is where continuous predictive monitoring makes the difference.

With ENGING‘s PreditTransf, powered by Electrical Signature Analysis (ESA) and advanced analytics, maintenance teams can continuously monitor transformer behaviour and identify abnormal electrical patterns at an early stage.

Instead of waiting for the next inspection or the next failure, teams gain the visibility and time needed to investigate, plan, and act.

Don‘t just check your transformer. Continuously understand its condition.

OLTC failures rarely happen without warning. The challenge is detecting the warning in time.

On-Load Tap Changers are essential for maintaining voltage stability in power transformers, but they are also among the components most exposed to electrical and mechanical stress.

Traditional diagnostic methods often rely on periodic inspections and scheduled tests. Between those checks, developing anomalies can remain unnoticed.

ENGING‘s PreditTransf brings a different approach: continuous online monitoring of transformer and OLTC condition using Electrical Signature Analysis (ESA) and advanced analytics.

By continuously analyzing the electrical behavior of the asset, ENGING can identify subtle changes and abnormal patterns that may indicate developing OLTC issues - providing maintenance teams with earlier visibility and more time to act.

The advantage is clear:

⚡ Continuous visibility instead of occasional snapshots.
🔎 Earlier detection instead of late diagnosis.
🎯 Condition-based decisions instead of fixed schedules.
🛡️ Proactive maintenance instead of unexpected failures.

Because when an OLTC is critical to transformer operation, waiting for the next inspection may not be enough.

Monitor continuously. Detect earlier. Maintain smarter.

Another important moment for ENGING at CIGRE Paris 2026. ⚡

Today, Rogério Duarte, ENGING‘s ESA Specialist, took the stage at to present:

“Adapting Traditional OLTC Diagnostic Techniques for Continuous Online Monitoring”

The presentation explored how established diagnostic approaches for On-Load Tap Changers (OLTCs) can be adapted to enable continuous, online monitoring - opening new possibilities for earlier fault detection and more proactive transformer maintenance.

By combining traditional engineering knowledge with Electrical Signature Analysis (ESA) and advanced monitoring technologies, ENGING is helping transform the way critical transformer components are monitored and maintained.

Continuous monitoring means moving from periodic checks to a constant understanding of asset condition - giving maintenance teams the information they need to detect changes earlier and act before problems become failures.

A big thank you to everyone who attended Rogério‘s presentation and contributed to the discussion.

25/08/2026

Predictive maintenance isn‘t about predicting the future. It‘s about being prepared for it.

Industrial assets rarely fail without warning. Long before a motor stops, a transformer trips, or a generator goes offline, small changes can start developing inside the equipment.

The challenge is detecting those changes early enough to do something about them.

With predictive maintenance, companies move from reacting to failures to continuously understanding the condition of their critical assets.

That means:

🔎 Detect problems earlier — identify hidden anomalies before they become failures.
⏱️ Act at the right time — plan interventions instead of responding to emergencies.
🎯 Prioritize what matters — focus resources on assets with the highest risk.
💰 Reduce costs — minimize unplanned downtime and unnecessary maintenance.
📈 Improve reliability — keep critical equipment operating at its best for longer.

At ENGING, we combine Electrical Signature Analysis (ESA) to provide continuous visibility into the health of industrial assets.

Because maintenance shouldn‘t start when something breaks.

It should start when the first warning appears.
