The second edition of the BAREFOOT European Shoe Fair suggests that barefoot footwear is entering a new phase.

With more brands, a growing international presence and, for the first time, specialised outsole suppliers such as Vapesol and Vibram, the event highlights how the entire barefoot ecosystem is evolving.

Portugal will also be represented by companies that continue to demonstrate the country's expertise in developing and manufacturing innovative footwear for international markets.

But perhaps the biggest takeaway isn't the size of the fair. It's what it represents.
