Whereas, the objects, functions and problems of this essential service to aviation are of similar nature in all countries irrespective of national boundaries;

Whereas, this objects, functions and problems can be mast

ered only by the common effort of all nations, which should be based on close international co-operation and on a continuous exchange of ideas and experiences;

Now therefore, it is indispensable that AIM personnel of all nations be united in a worldwide professional federation for the furtherance of safe and efficient air navigation and for the protection of their common professional interests.

🎙️ MEET OUR SPEAKERS | GLOBAL AIM ARUBA 2026

Dr. Saulo da Silva began his aviation career as an air traffic controller in 1984 before becoming an engineer specializing in electronics and telecommunications. He joined ICAO as an Air Traffic Management Specialist in 2007.

Today, he serves as Chief of the Global Interoperable Systems Section within the ICAO Air Navigation Bureau, with responsibility for the Global Air Navigation Plan, System-Wide Information Management (SWIM) and the development of an international aviation trust framework.

We look forward to welcoming Dr. Saulo da Silva to Aruba and hearing the perspectives he will share with the international AIM community.
