Founded in 1973, the New University of Lisbon is the youngest of Portugal's three state institutions. It has nine academic units - including science and technology, social sciences, economics and management, law, humanities, and life sciences and medicine (incorporating tropical and public health) - and more than 15,000 students. We hope that you enjoy our facilities and take profit from our expertise in Bio-analytical applications for Protein Identification and Proteomics as well as in organic and inorganic nano-synthesis. Our philosophy is to use a practical approach in our collaborations in order to improve the knowledge on several up-to-date methodologies in nano-synthesis and in proteomics. It is expected that your knowledge and skills improve in those areas, enabling you to apply them in your own research field. We are sure you will find a friendly environment during your stay with us, either during a course, a short research stay or even within a PhD program.
