🌍⚓ Driving the conversation on the future of green maritime fuels.
On 1 June, our CEO, Dr.Jorge Antunes, participated in the panel “Supply Side: Scaling Green Fuel Production and Cost Pathways” at the Portugal-China Green Maritime Fuels & Decarbonization Forum 2026.

The discussion brought together industry leaders from across the energy, technology and maritime sectors to explore the challenges and opportunities of scaling green methanol, green ammonia, hydrogen and e-fuels from pilot projects to commercial reality.

Topics included:
🔹 Green fuel production pathways and renewable energy integration
🔹 Cost reduction strategies and scalability challenges
🔹 Sustainable feedstocks and CCUS solutions
🔹 International supply chains and cross-border logistics
🔹 Long-term strategies for maritime decarbonisation

As shipping moves towards a lower-carbon future, collaboration between fuel producers, technology developers, ports, regulators and ship operators will be essential to transform ambition into practical and economically viable solutions.

🚤 Advancing towards the first COLOSSUS project technical demonstrations
Last week, our USV, (Unmanned Ocean Patrol Vehicle), was transferred to Arsenal do Alfeite, S.A., where it will undergo a major upgrade phase in preparation for the upcoming technical demonstrations of the project.

At the Portuguese Navy Shipyard, the hydrofoils will be removed, and the stern will be modified to integrate a new TecnoVeritas-designed propulsion POD capable of delivering more than 60 kW of power. In parallel, our teams are finalising and testing the mission software that will support the vehicle’s autonomous operations.

The first demonstration missions, scheduled for October, will focus on port safety, surveillance and patrol operations. Looking ahead, the platform is also being prepared for more demanding offshore missions, including anti-submarine warfare (ASW) support and submarine cable monitoring using our proprietary ROV technology.

As coordinator of the COLOSSUS project, TecnoVeritas Services of Engineering and Systems Technology is proud to contribute to the development of innovative autonomous solutions that will strengthen maritime security, resilience and operational awareness.

🚢 Turning decarbonisation strategy into measurable results
Following the work we have been developing under the “PRR Navegação Ecológica” programme, TecnoVeritas – Services of Engineering and Systems Technology has now begun the intervention on board the vessel , operated by GS Lines, currently at the shipyard in Las Palmas, for the installation and integration of several key decarbonisation and efficiency solutions.
This intervention includes:
🔹 BioHFO
🔹 VFD systems
🔹 BOEM
Decarbonisation is not achieved through a single solution. It is built through the right combination of technology, engineering expertise and operational knowledge.
Onwards towards a more efficient and sustainable fleet. 🌱🌊

TecnoVeritas – Services of Engineering and Systems Technology will be participating in the Portugal-China Green Maritime Fuels & Decarbonization Forum 2026, taking place during the GLOBAL OEIRAS OCEAN DAYS 2026, promoted by Fórum Oceano. 🌍⚓
This event will bring together key international stakeholders to discuss the future of green maritime fuels, decarbonisation strategies, regulatory pathways and sustainable maritime operations.
As part of the programme, Dr.Jorge Antunes will contribute with its experience in engineering solutions focused on emissions reduction, energy efficiency, FuelEU Maritime compliance and practical decarbonisation technologies for the maritime sector.
