Eva builds high throughput drone docking stations for healthcare logistics, disaster relief and crit

EVA, the company building the low altitude economy, today announced the acquisition of the technology startup Internest. This represents the first (and very important) acquisition for EVA. The amount of the acquisition is undisclosed.

Internest, a company founded in 2016, has developed a patented and certified technology for multivector and secured tracking-precision guidance in complex environments. Drones, Helicopters require satellite connections and clear weather to be tracked precisely and land safely. Internest has demonstrated its offering with prestigious groups such as Naval Group & Airbus.

Announced today https://lnkd.in/esRs5XGj EVA will collaborate with The Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC), together with Gerald R. Ford International Airport Authority, Southwest Airlines® and Stantec GenerationAV through the Ford Launchpad for Innovative Technologies and Entrepreneurship (FLITE).
Airports are essential to connecting people to the world or transporting goods wherever needed. New airborne ecosystems in the last decade also transport goods, and soon people, through unmanned autonomous systems or drones. Very few initiatives, however, work on the integration of these two ecosystems for a more efficient first, middle and last mile.
EVA was very interested in the proposed project at FLITE because it addresses one of the key challenges – and opportunities – of this century for transporting people and goods. We will demonstrate through different use cases how goods can be dispatched seamlessly, and how the airport user experience can be enhanced.
With our first operations in Michigan, we aim at not only build a great case for airports around the world but also set Michigan as a significant hub for a future North Drone Super Highway. EVA has the largest drone infrastructure on the market, with more than eight stations, allowing transportation of payloads up to 250 kilos. EVA is now operating on 4 continents and is the world leading company for drone infrastructure helping drone operators and companies to accomplish fantastic missions anywhere, anytime. Infrastructure inspection is as risky and dangerous as it is vital!
Bridges, tunnels and buildings are ageing and, therefore, in constant need of monitoring activities.

Drone operators often face adverse circumstances, such as harsh weather conditions or access to energy, which make infrastructure assessments a lengthy process.

EVA Stations dramatically increase the productivity and autonomy of these applications and curb the operational cost of offering full support to drone operators.

Together with Ericsson and Altice Labs, the City of Aveiro intends to establish itself as one of the first 5G Test Areas in Europe and selected EVA to be one of the first companies to use and learn from their testbed.

We are thrilled to be selected for this program, which, in addition to the opportunity to use the Aveiro 5G network, consists of a development and test phase, and grants us access to workshops and a network of mentors and specialists from various area.
