Announcing the approval of a new BI-family housing project in Ferragudo.

The development introduces an innovative construction approach based on the SISMO prefabricated building system, embracing a fully modular methodology designed to enhance efficiency, precision, and environmental performance, along with proven anti-seismic characteristics.

This milestone marks another step in Studioarte’s commitment to advancing sustainable and industrialized construction practices, integrating design quality with contemporary building technologies.

The project will contribute to the evolving residential landscape of Ferragudo while demonstrating how prefabrication can support high-quality living environments with reduced construction impact.

We are proud to celebrate the recent approval from the camera for our Strawbale Housing prototypes, of Casa Pedreira, in Silves.

Casa Pedreira represents a significant milestone for Studioarte. Developed specifically for the Algarve’s Mediterranean climate, this building system reinterprets strawbale construction beyond its conventional applications, adapting it to local architectural, climatic, and regulatory realities. Demonstrating that natural construction can meet contemporary standards of comfort, durability, and architectural clarity in the Algarve.

The completion and approval of these prototypes confirms the viability of a construction method that is bioclimatic by design, technically rigorous, and deeply connected to place, a truly out-of-the-box achievement made possible through sustained collaboration and committed clients.

The process of Casa Cortiça is a stunning example of sustainable and bioclimatic solutions. Wooden beams have been installed for the roof structure, eco-conscious techniques used to be extra resistant to future earthquakes.

Exciting new conceptual designs for our latest project in Ferragudo🥎 We're creating a stunning mixed-use complex featuring 2,000+ m² of touristic housing, a 500 m² services building, and a state-of-the-art padel training academy with 7 courts.

Our vision embraces a Land-Organic architectural approach, seamlessly blending with the natural terrain.

We're prioritizing bioclimatic and passive architecture principles, incorporating green roofing and eco-friendly solutions to create a true nature retreat masterplan. Stay tuned for updates.

Strawbale construction concept set in Pedreira – Silves. A collaboration with and .woodworks

By using straw bales, which are typically a byproduct of agricultural processes, these homes reduce reliance on non-renewable resources and help decrease the environmental footprint associated with construction in the Algarve.

Strawbale offers a sustainable, energy-efficient, and aesthetically pleasing alternative to conventional construction methods, with the potential to significantly reduce the environmental impact of building projects.
