On April 28th, Mecwide was invited by ArcelorMittal Belgium to take part in the World Day for Safety and Health at Work celebrations.

We showed up with our Safety Challenge, an interactive dynamic where people stopped, played, and reflected on safety in a different way.

It was great to see how a simple challenge can spark real conversations about what truly matters every day: seeing something, calling it out, taking action.

Thank you to ArcelorMittal Belgium for the invitation and the trust. These are the moments that remind us that safety culture is built together.

Today, on April 28th, we celebrate the World Day for Safety and Health at Work.

Safety is not built in manuals or procedures. It is built in the small decisions we make every single day. It is stopping when something does not feel right. It is looking at the person next to you and asking if they are okay. It is leading by example, so others follow.

At Mecwide, we believe that every person has a direct impact on the safety of those around them. Culture is not a policy. It is what we do, consistently, when no one is watching.

Because at the end of the day, what truly matters is getting home.

Every safe step starts with you.

Today, on International Women’s Day, we choose to recognize professionals, not labels.

For too long, the world has framed strength and emotion differently depending on who expresses it, but today, we reject those narratives. We believe professionalism has no gender, competence, stereotype, and ambition needs no justification.

We celebrate the women of Mecwide not because they are women in a certain role, but because they are extraordinary professionals shaping our present and building our future with the same courage, and the same right to be exactly who they are.

For 17 years, the world around us has constantly changed. Markets have shifted, industries have evolved, and new challenges have pushed us to grow stronger and think further. But while so much has transformed, one thing has remained the same: who we are.

At Mecwide, our commitment to excellence, our integrity in every decision, our respect for people, and our ambition to go further have never changed. These values continue to guide the way we work, the way we build partnerships, and the way we look to the future.

We don’t just deliver projects. We build trust. We build long-term relationships. We build with purpose.

This journey would not have been possible without the vision and unwavering belief of our Chairman Carlos Palhares who believed in our people and in our potential from day one. That belief continues to inspire us to aim higher and go further.

In our Data Center project in Norway, the Mecwide team has reached an important milestone: 100,000 hours without accidents.

This accomplishment is the result of commitment, teamwork, and a strong safety culture shared with our partner CTS. Together, we keep proving that Safety First is more than a value — it’s a daily practice.
