Staying Hydrated, Staying Safe: QICC Nexans Continues Its Commitment to Employee Wellbeing

As temperatures continue to rise across Qatar, QICC Nexans remains committed to protecting the health, safety, and wellbeing of our employees. Recognizing the challenges of working during the hot weather season, we launched our Hydration Campaign as part of our ongoing efforts to promote a healthier and safer workplace.

The campaign was designed to raise awareness about the importance of staying hydrated and preventing heat-related illnesses. As part of this initiative, employees received glucose supplements to help maintain energy and hydration levels, while dedicated awareness sessions provided practical guidance on recognizing dehydration symptoms, maintaining proper fluid intake, and adopting healthy habits throughout the workday.

Further reinforcing our commitment to employee care, QICC Nexans also organized a Fruit Cart Day for our shopfloor employees. Fresh seasonal fruits were distributed across the production areas, offering a healthy and refreshing source of hydration and nutrition while encouraging positive wellness practices among our teams.

At QICC Nexans, workplace wellbeing is more than a seasonal initiative—it is a core part of our commitment to creating a safe, healthy, and supportive work environment. Through proactive awareness programs and employee-focused activities, we continue to strengthen our culture of care and responsibility.

As part of E3 Week, QICC explored the power of recycling and the circular economy through visits to Green Island and copper & aluminium recycling facilities. The experience showcased innovative initiatives in waste recycling—including cables, batteries, electronic waste, and plastics—as well as hydroponics and solar-powered solutions, demonstrating how sustainability and innovation go hand in hand to create a greener future.

Our team gained valuable insights into how materials such as copper and aluminum can be recycled and reused, reducing waste, conserving natural resources, and lowering environmental impact. These visits reinforced an important message: every recycled material is a step toward a greener future.

Beyond understanding recycling processes, the visits reinforced the importance of individual and organizational responsibility in supporting environmental sustainability. Every effort to segregate waste, recycle materials, and adopt sustainable practices contributes to minimizing landfill waste, conserving resources, and advancing a circular economy where materials remain in use for as long as possible.

At QICC Nexans, environmental stewardship is a shared responsibility. By investing in awareness and education initiatives such as the Recycling Hub Visits, we continue to support the Nexans E3 commitment to creating lasting environmental value through responsible resource management, waste reduction, and the advancement of circular economy principles.

Together for Our Health 💙 | QICC Wellness Day 2026

On February 12, 2026, our QICC family from blue collar to white collar came together with one powerful purpose: prioritizing our health and supporting one another.

At QICC Nexans, wellbeing isn’t just a program it’s a commitment.

During our Wellness Day, colleagues stepped away from their daily routines to complete their Annual Health Check-Up, including:

Last January 29, colleagues and their families came together at QICC to celebrate our Cultural Day an afternoon filled with connection, appreciation, and shared experiences beyond the workplace.

The event was a wonderful reflection of who we are at Nexans.
